2023 U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles Ready For Tough Gambia Test — Bamaiyi

Flying Eagles captain, Daniel Bamaiyi has highlighted the importance of the team securing a place in the final at the ongoing 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Ladan Bosso's side will confront fellow West Africans Gambia in a semi-final contest at the Cairo International Stadium on Monday (today).

The Young Scorpions have a one hundred percent record in the competition and have scored nine goals without conceding.

Bamaiyi is however unfazed by the Gambians displays and is adamant the Flying Eagles will scale through the hurdle.

"The match is important for us and winning is very important. We want to win and take the trophy back to our country," the Yumyum FC ace was quoted by CAFonline.

"We are not under any pressure, we enjoy every match and go into each match with new energy and motivation."
