Kasimpasa defender Kenneth Omeruo claimed the Super Eagles want to redeem their image against Zimbabwe.

The three-time African champions held the Likuena of Lesotho to a 1-1 draw in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying opening fixture on Thursday.

South Africa claimed top position in Group C after a 2-1 victory against Benin Republic on Saturday.

The Super Eagles must now beat the Warriors to get their campaign back on track.

Omeruo admitted they can't afford another poor result against Baltemar Brito's side.

“We are on a redemption mission; a serious business is what we have come for. The pitch is poor but we can’t be bothered right now. We want to get into action and pick up three points," the Kasimpasa defender told thenff.com.

Sunday's (today) encounter is slated for the Huye Stadium, Butare.

The game will kick-off at 2pm Nigeria time.
